It is appalling that being in 2025 egocentric Drs and specialists I have encountered at ucsd medical have a very myopic view of the body. They do not see/treat it as an entire system. Instead of taking the time to listen understand the root cause of my medical condition, they have wasted my time, given useless irrelevant tests, and horrible prescriptions that do not target what is actually causing my health issues. I would like to say that that I love very it here and there is one nurse that I just love alot and her name is Elisa Marie Baylon she is the best nurse on floor 1114 and she needs to become a charge nurse
I was trying to locate a family member that texted me that she was admitting herself to USCD Hillcrest through emergency care. I called multiple times, and talked to multiple people, and the service was appalling and extremely rude. One of the workers hung up on me, not before saying “it’s nice you care” in a condescending tone. Basic human decency is what a hospital needs and this level of service is just atrocious. Having a good experience with my specialists here. However, beware they close the lab early and then will proceed to *rudely* redirect you to the Outpatient Pavilion.
