I can’t thank Dr. Liau enough for the miracle she performed. She completely removed my mom’s brain tumor, and the surgery went so well! Now, three months post-op, my mom is doing great and is almost fully recovered. We’re so grateful for Dr. Liau’s incredible work and the detailed care she gave throughout the entire process. UCLA DOES NOT TREAT TETHERED CORD I have tethered spine occulta and spina bifida occulta. It cannot be seen via routine imaging and is diagnosed by urodynamics and bowel testing. It has been de-tethered once and was transferred to UCLA Spine for a consult to discuss 2nd tethering. Dr Bari and PA Lee are amazing! I’ve had two brain surgeries with them and at every step of the way I have felt listened to, respected and supported. I would highly recommend the NS team at UCLA Westwood to anyone who needs a good NS team.
I am a disabled veteran whose wife is my caregiver. My wife drove me to this appointment which took three hours. She helps me remember the details. Dr Lord was not a great doctor and seemed to want to get over with the appointment as soon as possible. I gave her MRI results and xray results that I had done last year. She looked them over and said she didn't see any of that in my xray she just completed and she couldn't treat pain. She gave me a referral to pt after I told her I have been going for years.
