Similar to what others have posted. Came here for my annual and the doctor asked me if there was anything bothering me. Thought this was a general question so told him some minor things and ended up getting a bill because the conversation was not part of the normal physical scope

I scheduled what I understood to be a routine preventive physical and ended up owing over $900 after insurance because UCLA also billed CPT 99204-25, a separate new patient office visit code. I am a healthy 36-year-old, had no acute concerns, and the only additional item was a routine transfer of an existing prescription. The visit note itself states, “No acute concerns today.” I disputed the charge, but UCLA billing repeatedly sent generic responses and did not clearly explain why this level of billing was appropriate. AVOID THIS LOCATION That one star is for the receptionist and the nurse; the doctor doesn't deserve it. I’ve been a patient at this clinic for five years. Even after moving, I kept the same PCP because I trusted my original doctor—despite the 25-mile one-way commute. However, after receiving abnormal blood test results, I called to make an appointment only to find out my original doctor was gone and I’d been reassigned to someone else. Today, I drove over an hour with my nine-month-old daughter. She cried inconsolably on the... read more

I really like my provider Dr. Zahirpour. She has wonderful hospitality which is so important for someone as anxious as me. The facility is clean and quiet. Currently accepted by my insurance (Anthem). Parking is a little expensive but worth it for a good primary care physician in my opinion. Have gone here for a couple years now and no complaints (yes doctor apts can be expensive but not the fault of the people of the clinic).

This is the last straw with UCLA “Health.” I went in for a physical and was charged $50 to “establish care with a provider.” Then my doctor billed my annual physical with additional codes so it wasn’t covered as a physical and I was on the hook for another $300. And then to top it off, after paying to establish care, my new doctor went on a 9 month sabbatical so I’ll have to repeat the process all over again paying again to “establish care” if I need to see a doctor during that time. Dumping this crummy healthcare system for... read more
