About this business

A brainchild of acclaimed chef, Tyson Cole, Uchiko is his second establishment in Austin, which opened its doors following the success of Uchi. The menu features delicious innovations brought into traditional Japanese cuisine; Yokai Berry, Koviche, Dewbee Chicken and tuna sashimi with goat cheese are a few to be named. Very disappointed in our meal at Uchiko. We got the Chef selection 10 course meal and every course was presented very nice but VERY small portions. I was hoping for at least one of the courses to have a good variety of sashimi or nigiri but that never came. When you have to order more food after 9 courses, that's a problem! I also ordered a bottle of saki and it was served cold when the bottle said it should be served warm. $400 meal disappointment... I'd rather have just picked what I wanted from the menu.

Amazing! All the fish was extremely fresh & delicately garnished with varied yet perfect combinations--the sushi rice was spot on, as well. Great sake & beer list. Our server was superb in her recommendations, attention, and gave us a wonderful experience. Some of the best sushi I've had, and the price is actually very reasonable for the quality & selection.
