This IOP program has been so eye-opening to me. Even if you come into the program not expecting much, as long as you commit yourself, you will realize things about yourself that you never knew. You will understand and be more welcoming of discomfort, and frustration. You will understand how each emotion serves a purpose; how indicative they are of your values and desires. The Young Adult IOP program at UBHC North Building is a very very constructive environment where we were taught DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation, along with other useful skills. Teriz is an AMAZING therapist and she is very personal and engaged with each and every one of her clients. She is attentive to all of their needs and caters a specific plan of care for each person. Highly recommend.
This place has been my most positive therapy experience I’ve had since starting to seek treatment. The staff at the front desk is super nice and so is our therapist, our Young Adults group is very accepting and helpful. It is a little difficult to find the right building because the map is a little tricky but if you look up Piscataway Kinder Care it’ll be the building right next to it.
The young adult IOP was immensely helpful and eye opening for me, I strongly recommend it to any young adults adjusting to a new chapter in their life or struggle with any kind of cognitive distortions.
