In the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve had 4 doctors get hateful with me and 1 nurse yesterday. They diagnosed me with chronic kidney disease several years ago. I’ve been terrified my kidneys would shut down , because I’m not eligible to get a transplant. The other day they said I didn’t ever have it. They said my blood pressure could have caused my creatine to show up as me having it. I’m immuno compromised. I’ve got the high dose flu shot before. I was a patient at UAB Gardendale. I am for a form to be filled out which I dropped off a month ago and I received every excuse why they was not going to fill it out. First, I needed to be seen in a clinic, which I was. Then, I need to schedule an appointment. NOT. My insurance do not pay for the same double care. dr. stocks - The doctor that I usually see at UAB family was out for the week so I was scheduled to see “Dr” stocks for my postpartum visit. I was 8 minutes late due to situations out of my control. So because I was late stocks decided not to see me, I walked out of the lobby crying in tears. Any person that would turn away a person for being a few minutes late has no mercy. I had a wonderful experience. Dr Raper, Nurse Pactitioner Bri, Mallory, Kenyetta, and Nakia in triage were all really sharp and kind. They take time to reason out what's happening to you, being both good listeners and smart med people. I literally couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you. Skip Coulter
Went for annual Physical. Dr never even looked at me. Only asked questions and typed on her computer. Then they charged me for things I did not ask for. I told them I was only there for an annual physical which was covered by my insurance 100%. They charged me for more, and refused to take it off when I challenged it. Do not trust them. They are not there for the patient. Will never go back to them again.
I went to this so called ER with COVID. I went in with a 102 fever. I sat there in a room with 4 or 5 other sick people for about 2 hrs. I was never placed in an exam room, I never saw a doctor, no one ever touched me. My heart, chest, lungs, lymph nodes were never checked. After waiting forever, a nurse came to me and asked me what was going on. I went there in excruciating pain and the only thing the doctor did was talked to me. He instructed me to go downstairs to get lab work but they were closed. He told me to come back on another day first thing in the morning and when I did, they ask for payment again. But in the meantime I'm still in a lot of pain. I never heard of paying 2 co pays for one doctor's visit. I been crying all day because there can be something seriously wrong with me and they just wasted my time and money.
