They are Great! Everyone is nice and friendly. Dr.Hess is the Best! He is very kind and cares about his patients. He listens and answers all of your questions. He takes the time he needs to and doesn't rush out. I would recommend him to anyone.
Doctor Momaya is truly outstanding! He performed my surgery today and everyone at the hospital and on his team treated me with respect and made sure I was comfortable and not in pain. So far my pain has been way less then the first surgery that was done in my knee by a different doctor at a different hospital. I HIGHLY recommend UAB to everyone, especially Dr. Momaya. Dr. Ashish Shah was a TERRIBLE CHOICE to do foot surgery! My wife went in with "torn ligaments" but at the doctors recommendation did other things that weren't necessary leading to a life time of severe pain!! My wife has a strong s-curve in her foot and her toes naturally point down slightly but the doctor thought her big toe looked like a hammer toe and wanted to break it and put a plate in to strengthen it which was a major bad judgment on his part! Not pleased with NP Rachel Adair. This orthopedic NP is not an advocate for her patients. Very disappointed with the care. I myself am a UAB employee and discouraged with the level of care.
Dr. Tony Wilson is hands down the best resident ever. He explains everything clearly, answers every question, and has amazing bedside manner. His kindness and genuine care make a huge difference. I’m incredibly thankful to have him on my ortho team.
