I think that the Liver transplant team is amazing!!!! I felt that from the first meeting that you have with the team to see whether or not you are in the right frame of mind to start and healthy enough to start the process to getting on the transplant list. They are truly passionate about the work they put into their patients. I have no words that good show how much gratitude I have for this team. It is changing my life day by day. Dr. Sanjeev Raman is very intelligent and informative Dr. He is also very considerate in answering my questions . The U could benefit from staff who set appropriate expectations with patients. To be told that after a full committee review I was approved to be a living kidney donor, only to be told 2 weeks later that I am now denied, was unexpected and deeply upsetting. Had I been informed that I could be rejected even after committee approval, I would have safeguarded myself from hoping that we were nearing the end of an incredibly painful journey.
