I’ve had many eye exams/purchased glasses at Cape Coral Eye Center over last 22 yrs. On 5/23/16 Dr. Kaplan recommended I see Dr. F. Tyson for an Eyelid Surgery Eval. & explained how it could help vision. I've left a MSG cancelling My Surgery on 7/5 & I will never return to Cape Coral Eye Centers for anything. I have never been so humiliated nor, have I ever dealt with, such Unprofessional & Incompetent Health Care Staff (seemed to have NO Medical knowledge) in my 24 years as a Lic. Nurse.

While I did not see Dr. Tyson but his associate, Dr. Tibbetts, I -- like other patients --feel Tyson Eye Care is in it for the money. I didn't get out of there without paying up front (despite having both Medicare and supplemental insurance). Then, after my insurance company paid them, they wouldn't refund my money. It was 4 months before I finally got their check and it required my screaming and threatening them before action was taken. They care about your money; not your eye care!

Dr. Tyson oversold the benefits of multi focal lenses, when I needed cataract surgery. He said I would no longer need glasses for reading & computer work. I paid $5000/eye & I still need glasses for reading & computer work. The $10,000 was a waste. Also, Dr. Tyson said he would see me for a follow up, if needed for astigmatism or other corrections. When I returned 6 months later requesting it, I was told there would be a significant charge. I do not believe Dr. Tyson is an ethical person.
