After a work xmas party at GB, our group was really excited to walk over to Twist and continue our celebration, but we were told they were having a private party until 10. So sadly we decided to just go across the street... but before we even made it there one of the gentleman who works there came out and told us the boss man had agreed to let us in! Had a great night meeting with fellow Tidewater area Radford University alumni! We were in a private room of the restaurant. The food was GREAT! I had a medium cooked 10oz sirloin with a side salad. Also had fried pickles for an appetizer. The steak was cooked perfectly. Thanks for the great service from the waiter (Edo) and waitress (I cannot remember her name). I will return to this restaurant.
Although we haven’t been to Twist often, prior to tonight, everything was usually on point. Tonight...not so much. The new menu, limited at best, was further limited by items that weren’t available. Ordered the “twisted shrimp burger”, was informed not available. Same for the ahi tuna...had to settle for a very mediocre crab cake. How can one not have signature items on what I’m sure is their busiest time of the week? Needless to say, VERY disappointed and won’t return.
A different menu totally than that of a couple months ago. Used to enjoy going there very much. Several things on the menu were stated as not being served anymore, or were not available. What appetizers we did order came out, up to ten minutes apart. Sad, was one of our favorite restaurants.
