This #TBT, we 'shuffle' back to 1955 when the first Music on Demand in a motor vehicle became available. Chrysler put a small turntable in its high-end cars, playing seven-inch records with about 45 minutes of music. The tables turned quickly however, and the project was "scratched" when it became obvious that record players and bumps don't get along very well. No word on what kind of spin the company put on the failure.

This #TBT, we go back to 1985 and 'pick up' where the first-ever Adopt-a-Highway sign is erected on Texas’s Highway 69. The highway was adopted by the Tyler Civitan Club, which committed to picking up trash along a designated two-mile stretch of the road. Today, hundreds of thousands of miles of US highways are 'adopted'.
