This #TBT, we pause to remember the thousands of soldiers that gave their lives for freedom 75 years ago today on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day. That was the day that Allied Forces invaded the beaches of Normandy, France setting in motion the eventual defeat of the Nazis and the end of WW II in Europe.

We’re making a quick deposit in 1930 this #TBT. That was the year Grand National Bank of St. Louis became the place of the first known instance of a bank using a drive-up window teller. The drive-up teller allowed only deposits at that time. We aren’t sure, but we believe it was also the first known use of tape and string to keep the pen from being “borrowed”. :-)
