My dad recently had triple bypass open heart surgery at OSU medical center. They were AMAZING. Every staff member there went out of the way to make sure that he was as comfortable, pain free and at home as possible. They did the same thing for us as well. The employees in the cafeteria, security and janitorial were all very friendly and professional. It was greatly appreciated. My husband is here fighting for his life. Another less capable hospital messed up an angioplasty and this hospital has been nothing but honest and diligent in doing every service they can to save his life. The surgical nurse was the first person that talked to me here and he hugged me twice and wasn't afraid to show compassion. The surgeon came out and told me right up front it was going to take a miracle to save my husbands life. They have impressed me with their proactive care and humanity.
As a resident physician and employ of OSU, I know the strong desire to serve that the OSUMC staff has for its patients. This teaching hospital has some truly amazing people. I was recently a patient at the hospital and Dr Duckett, Dr Adams, Dr Riddle and Dr. Schroder were an incredibly professional and phenomenal team.
