All and all not a bad product, it looked good and was a factory fit. Unfortunately, it only lasted just shy of two and a half years.Just long enough for the two year warranty to expire. The voltage regulator went bad and over charged the battery causing a brand new battery to explode.
Shout out to Scott & Stephen! Talked to Scott for advice, and 4 mo later called in my order and Stephen helped me. Great experience. I need a stronger alternator to charge LifePo batteries in RV while driving and not drop off my truck AC clutch in my 01 F350 7.3 Ordered a 250 amp alternator & wire kit on Fri afternoon and FedEx delivered to my home Tuesday! Very impressed with packaging. I installed new batteries, serp belt, and the alt and wire kit yesterday. Works great!
I called to see if my alternator was in stock and was told it was very common and they had many available, come on down. When I went to get it the following Monday, surprise, they had none available. I find this to now be a poorly run operation for that reason alone. I drove a long way to support this business as I have for many years. Never again.
I needed a new alternator for my 2005 Dodge Ram diesel. After trying to get it from Summit Racing their supplier couldn’t deliver for 3 weeks. I placed an order with Tucson Alternator and it was shipped out the same day and I received it the following day. Works perfectly now and it saved my Camping trip.
