About this business

Stylish and sophisticated, Tucci Ristorante, located centrally in Lake Oswego is an aspirational venue with a sharp focus not just on the food, but the entire experience that makes dining here, such a pleasure. The dining room is a visual delight with the warm hues from the wooden fixtures, walls and lanterns contrasted quite well by the cool palette on the chairs and the illuminated bar. Lighting choices are contemporary and highlight the rustic wall textures quite well. The Bachhus room, with it's deep wooden hues, artwork... read more

Inflated sense of itself – Some of the dishes here are just weird--like "warm carpaccio," which is kind of like "braised steak tartare." The Caesar salad isn't a caesar at all--whole romaine leaves in an italian dresing with parmessan grated over it. Not a terrible experience, but hardly the high-end fare it fancies itself to be.

Nice People-Bland Food – Had never been before but decided to make the trip from portland. The food was bland, overcooked and not very exciting. The wine list was overpriced. The timming between courses was much to long. I had heard good things about this restaurant but my date and I were very dissapointed. That is with everything but the hospitality and the service. We were well taken care of by the waiter (Michael) and the elegent hostess/manager (Veronica). They made the meal somewhat palatable.

Still a favorite! – I had been to this restaurant in the spring and wanted to try it again. The experience I had in April was good, and I was just as pleased in October. The restaurant has recently expanded and the addition looks as it has always been a part of the original. The seating options are offered with variety now, and there is a fireplace in the new bar. There is a room in the new addition that looks like it would accomodate a private party. The lamb papparadelle was heaven. My date and I shared two appetizers, and... read more

Below Average – My Husband and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner! We decided on Tucci and went with much excitement, but to are dismay it was an over priced awful experience. We both have been to many great Italian resturants and have never been so disappointed. I had a shrimp dish that was absolutley horrific. The shrimp were NOT fresh at all and the dish was so bland that I couldn't eat it. My Husband got a pizza that was the most blah pizza he had ever eaten. We both got up from our table and the waitress aske... read more

Overinflated ego restaurant – This place thinks waaaay too highly of itself. From the sneering looks of the minimum wage staff to the cheap 'chic' decoration of this place, it's all unauthentic crap. The food is barely palpable and the servers are downright rude. I don't know what their deal is but we are most certainly not returning to this pit. It's only plus is that it's in trendy Lake O. If that's your cuppa, then by all means dine there.

Great place – I don't know what you folks are talking about, the food here is wonderful, the service sharp and the ambience great. About the only problem is you to have to LO to go to it.

Skip the fish drink the wine – The ambiance of the restaurant is fabulous! The food not so much. The lamb was way too salty and oversauced so no traceable elements of lamb were evident. The fish was overcooked even after a discussion with the waiter that fish sounds good but is normally overcooked. I even received assurances it would be fine. The wine list is amazing and the wine in and of itself was worth the experience - with some really good music in the corner as well. I am not too stingy with my money but would not wast... read more

More Style than Substance – I've been to Tucci many times for lunch and for dinner. The atmosphere is nice, if a little crowded with large tables too close together. Should improve when a planned renovation is complete...Jan 2006? The food doesn't warrant the high prices but the all Italian wine list is a hit with me. Service has been sub par in the past but on a recent visit, I was surprised by how friendly and courteous the staff were. Perhaps they've been reading some of the reviews. We had to wait in the bar - no reserva... read more

What happened? Gone horribly wrong... – Been to Tucci at least a dozen times with small and large groups. It was great: the food, wine and atmosphere. But the service has become well, "offensive". Our server the last 2 times was not only rude, he never apologized for my entree arriving cold and 45 mins later than the rest of the table. He did take it off the bill, but was extremely rude about it. The hostess: when confronted as to the where abouts of our meal became defensive and assured us our order was not forgotten. No ap... read more
