Like its namesake, the Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino is bankrupt. Like its namesake, it was gaudy, narrow and loud. Like its namesake, it will never be what it claims to be.
I worked at the Plaza for 8 years as the Food & Beverage Controller - that is until I fired Trump as my employer. Who among you can make that claim? Every day I shaved, showered, dressed, put on my armor and assembled my (metaphorical) accoutrements of choice so as to function in an environment wholly dysfunctional, a culture utterly dictated by Machiavellian tactic. I survived, though I take no pride in the costs of having done so. Nevertheless, I am saddened by all those so mindlessly discarded in the closing of the Plaza.
