The prime rib was too big there was too much alcohol in the drinks and the dessert was too awesome I would recommend it to everyone

Menu prices are upper end. Service level compares to lower end like Applebees or even Mcdonalds might be better. Cloth linens, high priced food but the server brought bottles of beer with no frosty glass/mug. my husband even asked for one but never got one. Server brought basket of bread and asked sourdough or wheat then proceeded to put a half slice on our plates and carried the basket away. That's the tackiest thing we've ever seen! We spent 2.5 hrs there, which was very long for four people. Server was hardly seen. Never ... read more

Facebook does a funny thing with reviews/recommendations, I have not seen this post until last night. Sorry for the delay in responding to your thoughts. I would like to start by apologizing for any lack of service you experienced at the Greenbriar. We strive to ensure that all of our guests leave happy and satisfied but clearly, we missed that with your visit. Enjoyed a wonderful dinner this evening with my Father. We shared some Boursin stuffed mushrooms. We both had the smoked Gouda and golden oyster soup. He had the Grilled Buffalo Tenderloin topped with haystack potatoes. We shared some fried Brussels Sprouts glazed with a sweet and sour sauce. I had the Prime Rib and Baked potato. Ive been here many times and everything was excellent as usual, including the service. 🍽🥩☕️🍷

This place has the best food in Des Moines as far as I am concerned!! Their new celery vinegatette dressing is the best!! Our server Stacey is the best and we always ask For her! She takes perfect care of her customers! I give this restaurant ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Me and my wife have not been out in a long time, the gunpowder crust ribeye was the best we had in a long time, Robin was awesome for coming out to talk to us! Compliments to the chef! Highly recommended as the prime rib was on point as well!

Went there for my boyfriends birthday and the service was excellent. I felt like we were a VIP couple. Our wine bottle was served by the owner and she was wonderful. They also gave us a small gift for his birthday. Can’t wait to go back!
