Take the kids to this place! It's like a petting zoo, with parrots roaming around freely and waiting to be fed; they are friendly, but you should ask the store manager if it's okay to pet them. It usually is. Don't worry. Snakes and lizards are kept in glass cases. Tarantulas from Arizona or Mexico are original souvenirs, as they make very good pets despite their scary looks. The store frequently has sales on macaws and cockatoos.

I have been doing business with these guys since the 80's. Does that say anything? Wouldn't trust anyone else with my reptile concerns.
Business response:
Thanks so much for the kind review, Joe. We've loved having you as a customer for all these years. Looking forward to the next time you stop by!
Business response:
Appreciate it, Austin!
Very friendly people and very helpfull they helped me get my wife a baby boa and the accesories i needed and also looked for the cost efficient stuff. All the times ive been there they have never tried to get me to buy things i dont need never been to a pet shop as professional and helpful as Tropical Kingdom. I will always come to this store no matter how long the drive is in tucson
Business response:
Glad to know our team was so helpful in finding the perfect baby boa for your wife and everything you'd need to take care of it. Hope all is well, and we'll always be here for your pet needs!
I love going to Tropical Kingdom. They are very knowledgeable and are super friendly. I like that they always remember my name and they help me to my car when I make large purchases! Grade A pet shop!!
Love this place , have always bought my birds from here . They really are very knowledgeable and personable . This family ran business is a great gem here in Tucson .
This place is really horrible. They will tell you lie upon lie just to sell you something. The owner is Rude and treats you terribly. God forbid you ask questions about the pets. They were all just wanting to hang out in front and tell jokes and ignore you. Run run run from this store. It smells awful, the staff and owner are rude, and their animals look unkempt and miserable. 0 stars
It's a great place to go alot of selections of fish, birds, mammals.
Business response:
Thanks so much for the 5 stars, Anthony!
Business response:
There's nothing we like to see more than 5 stars. Thanks so much, Tina!
Unfortunately, I stopped in for the first and last time yesterday. A lot of the Reptile enclosures needed a good spot clean and glass cleaning, the Retic enclosure need a lot of poop and urates removed. They had some clearly fresh imports (Ahatuella,Gonyosoma) in bad shape, and not set up properly, I was interested in a particular snake (before I really took a look around) and the employee couldn't provide me with basic info; was it eating, how often, wc,fresh import, ltc,cb,cbb. She tried to find the Reptile guy but he was e... read more
Business response:
Mark, we're sorry to hear you had a less than stellar experience when you came in to look at our snakes. While members of our team do have certain specialties, our staff still should've been able to answer some basic questions for you. At any rate, we hope you'll give us another shot to show you that we're truly capable of better. The vine snake is in great shape we take it out all the time and the set up is what it needs. Just because it was on the bottom of the cage does not mean it is sick. It has branches to climb on and... read more
