I live near the NC coast. But, most every time I come to the Spruce Pine area, I am sure to stop at least once to eat at The Tropical Grill. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ever tried. My favorite is the Tropi Chopi; but again I like all I've tried and others run close to being my favorites, too. Amazing authentic cuban food! We stopped in after a long day of hiking. The Mango Garlic Chicken and Shredded Pork Tropi Chopi dishes were amazing and the plantains...absolutely delicious! A must stop whenever we find ourselves in the area.
The food was fabulous. The owner took time to ask our preferences and what we would enjoy on the menu. Will definitely go back!!

My husband has been on several missions trips to Cuba, so discovering this little place was very special. Their food was incredible, but their story is even more so. We will be back!!!
