This is an excellent medical facility! My family member received top-notch medical care from the compassionate, caring, professional medical staff. The non-medical personal were just as kind and concerned about our patient and the family. In this day of sloppy, uncaring, incompetent medicine Southern Hills is a breath of Fresh Air!
We were there thursday. We described my husband's symptoms and they didn't run any tests, just told him it was probably a virus. Went to another hospital and it turns out he has viral meningitis, mild pancreatitis, and a gallbladder infection. All of which they found by actually caring enough to run tests and listen. What we experienced at Southern Hills was gross negligence, and we'll get a fat bill for nothing.
It doesn't have the nickname Suffering Hills for nothing!
My son was just released from here and nursing staff here by far is the best. Each one provided the necessary time for questions and the care could not have been better. It is so obvious that the nurses are in it for the love of their patients. May God bless each and every one. And Dr. Ripley is wonderful!
I had the best pre and post surgical experience at Southern Hills. Even though it has been 6 months, i still talk about how kind the staff were and how amazingly clean the hospital was. AND...I had an amazing neurosurgeon, Dr. Robert Mericle.
Not my 1st choice for health care. My mother died while having surgery. During surgery dr. Nicked a artery. She bled out. Worse day of my life. Afterwards they wouldnt give me her medical records.
Best nurses and staff in middle TN..I've been there quite a few times over the past 3 1/2 years with chronic pancreatitis and each time they treated me with care and compassion along with humor that I was back again and again
