very detailed in his notes and very thorough in his exam. His nurse that I had was nice and polite. Gave me options and let me pick my option.
Very disappoint,had wrist fused, still causing pain,seen him only once before surgery and day before surgery. He doesn't tell you what to expect,doesn't follow up with his patients,even when you specify to see him,only got to see PA,had surgery before and follow up with surgeon,this guy is a big zero

Was determined to have SLAC of both wrists. Had scaphoid excision with 4 corner arthrodesis of one wrist, soon after diagnosis. Post-op care went smoothly, but had odd and sharp pain. After cast was removed, made appt to address sharp pain. Dr. Hartzell did not see me, but had PA sit with me to only say the hardware is intact and it's normal. 1 month later I made another appt, as pain had intensified, little strength and reduced mobility due to fusion, unable to work. Five (5) ⭐️ Plus to Dr. Hartzel. My experience he is professional, a great communicator, empathetic, caring, knowledgeable, organized, conscientious, and has great bedside manner. Extremely pleased with surgeries for carpal tunnel, finger cysts, bone spurs on fingers.
