Great Salon in Wicker Park! – I'm new to the city so I checked citysearch to find salons in my neighborhood. After reading great reviews for Trio I booked and appointment for highlights and a haircut at the Wicker Park location. Cate did my color and aaron cut my hair. Best Colorist in Chicago – I just returned from Trio where Jackie turned my awful-breaking off awful --hair into a thing of beauty. After fleeing my previous salon, this was my first visit with Jackie. My blonde was overprocessed and unevenly colored. On one side it was starting to look like a Mohawk !!!! Alex suggested Jackie, and since he is the best stylist in the city of Chicago, I made the appointment. I am thrilled....I never thought it would look so good. Trio is fabulous! – I have been going to trio for hair cuts for the past two years and love my hair stylist aaron but i finally decided i wanted to change my boring brown hair and see what it was like to be a blonde bombshell :) Naturally i was really scared but did it anyway. Talented, friendly and outgoing! – Ashley cuts my hair at Trio's Wicker Park Salon, she's so sweet and I've been so happy with my haircut everytime. It's a great atmosphere, everyone is so friendly and It's a really comfortable space - the staff is fun and you can tell everyone gets along really well! I left my usual Lincoln Park salon and was referred to ashley by a friend and am truly satisfied. I get compliments regularly! I recommend her 100%.
Great for Natural Looking Color! Saved Me! – I just saw Cate to fix my color a couple of weeks ago, I went to a very well known salon in the city for highlights just before leaving town for my wedding!!!!!!! Horrible, awful, I'm a natural brunette and my highlights were brassy, orangey stripes. When I pulled my hair back everything around my face was blonde!!! RENATA at Trio! BEST COLOR IN CHICAGO! – I just moved from NYC where Kyle from Oscar Blandi salon on Madison did my color. Kyle came highly recommended and had an A-list clientele with lots of magazine covers. He was so great and I was so worried I wouldn't find someone comparable in Chicago. Incredible Hair Cut by Shelley – I have to say that Shelley Aguirre at Trio Salon on Wabash has to be one of the greatest hair stylists that I have ever been to. I have really fine blah hair and I have not really ever known what style would look good on me, so I always have had the same hair cut. Made my hair beautiful!! – Go see Renata Widula if you want your hair colored because she does an amazing job! I love it everytime she does it. She knows exactly what I want and if I'm not sure she always suggest a great color that I end up loving. Also if you need a haircut go to Farrah cuz she works miracles on problem hair. Luv Trio! I wouldn't go anywhere else.
Horrible color, rude and inexperienced staff -- AVOID!! – Based on the hype surrounding this place, I would not be surprised if most of the positive reviews on here are planted and fake. I went here for color -- very straightforward lightening from brown to light brown -- and the colorist (who supposedly was experienced) had no clue what she was doing.
