I don't feel the artist on the wall – I had a consultation with Barbara today for the japonese straightener. She seems to know what's she's doing. The only regret I have is the atmosphere. There is absolutely no taste in the decoration and it has been poorly (or quikly) done, I could notice that before the greeting of the receptionnist. Edda Coscioni's haircuts are an experience to be remembered! – A haircut with Edda is more than a service, it's an experience. I have never been disappointed by her haircuts. She is innovative in her ideas and she trains to keep up with the latest trends. I keep a stack of Edda's business cards in my purse because people ask me so frequently, "Who cuts your hair? Treat yourself. Hip, comfortable, and fun salon – Treat yourself. Hip setting, perfect results and a very friendly staff. Alex is the best! He makes my kids look like rock stars! And he makes me feel beautiful.
Great haircut and free advice! – Edda is my favorite stylist at Trio. Her secret is that she used to be a coach, so she knows how to listen and be with people. She not only listens to your ideas and then collaborates on making your hair look great, she also listens to your woes and gives you great coaching. She's definitely worth the trip to Evanston.
Best hair shaping ever! – I've got very thick hair and Shelly at the Wabash Trio knows how to "debulk" it as I call it. Not only did I get a great cut, but she fine tunes it with razoring for a perfect finish! Hands down, I'd use her every time. I get compliments on my hair all the time - thanks to Shelly.
Barbara is worth the trip! – I have been seeing Barbara for my color at the downtown location of Trio Salon for the past year, and now that she has moved up to the Evanston location I've been driving up to see her there. This location is adorable! Cozy and very friendly. And you can't beat the service!
Not impressed at all – After reading the reviews at citysearch, I decided to give it a try. But I was pretty disappointed. The hair cut is so ordinary and it doesn't give me what I wanted. The way the hairstylist cut my hair I can tell, she is not a "master" stylist for charging that amount of haircut price. Totally not impressed. Now I have to search for another one. Hopefully, not too many of the reviews are done by their "friends and family" and are valid enough.
Barbara is a FANTASTIC colorist – I have been to all the top salons in Chicago, and I found Barbara at the Trio on Wabash and Chicago - what a gem. She has been my colorist for the last year and I won't let anyone else color my hair. Today you would never guess that I came to her with broken, over-processed hair. I love her work so much that now that she has transferred to the Evanston branch of Trio Salon, I will be traveling up there to see her. so very overrated – i'm not sure why this salon is highly rated. i've gotten enough cuts at top salons to know whether the stylist knows what s/he is doing. unfortunately, i lost my regular stylist and have been looking around. i knew the moment the stylist started cutting that she was inexperienced (rough touch and slow) and didn't have much, if little, experience with my type of hair texture. what was even more scary was when she used a flat brush to dry my hair straight. i will stop there although there's a lot more to sa... read more
