The Tribune-Democrat is a Community First Holdings newspaper that serves residents of Johnstown, Pa., and west central Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1853 as a weekly newspaper, the Cambria Tribune. The newspaper was renamed the Johnstown Tribune and became a daily newspaper in 1873. The Johnstown Democrat was founded as a weekly newspaper in 1863 and changed to a daily paper in 1888. In 1952, the papers were merged and called the Tribune-Democrat.
