Very poor service! Waited weeks for delivery! Can't get anybody on the phone! I finally had to buy a temporary tank and connected gas line to tempoary tank. When delivery was finally made (with no notice) delivery person did not reconnect their tank and sealed their tank with a propriatory plug. Once I returned home and discovered the delivery and the plug I called customer service. Finally got someone on the phone, but no help. They refused to send someone out to remove plug. Actually told me to call another gas company! I ... read more

Ordered propane on 1/15/21 and got a delivery window of 1/16 - 1/29. No delivery by 1/29. We made four calls to customer service and got four promises of 'expedited delivery'. Never got a delivery. Ran out of propane. It's winter time and it's cold. How is this company still in business?

Terrible customer service. I cancelled my service with Amerigas three months ago, and have been unable to get them to remove the 500 gallon propane tank on my property. Two of my neighbors have the same problem, and one of them has been waiting for close to 6 months.

Charged me $300 (!!!) for an emergency delivery within the next 24 hours. That fee is outrageous, but whatever, my bad for letting the tanks run out, right? Well, it is now 48 hours later and I still have no heat and no assurance of getting heat before the weekend with lows projected to be in the single digits. I have made multiple follow-up phone calls where you get patched through to a call center that most likely isn't even owned by AmeriGas so there is literally no direct way to contact them. The call center people are p... read more

Ordered gas on 1/22/2021, and advised it would be here by 2/5/2021. Three phone calls today alone and being told it would be here today and still no delivery. Below 3%, and have turned off heaters for last two days. Horrific customer service. Do not use them

In the summer of 2020, we decided we wanted to have a buried propane tank instead of continuing to rent the above ground tank from Amerigas. I called Amerigas and other suppliers to get prices and chose another company because of the ridiculous hold times and lack of information Amerigas could provide. I was told it would cost $69 to remove their tank. On November 4, 2020, I called to cancel our service and was then told there would be a recapture fee for the propane in the tank that I had already paid for to the tune of aro... read more

If I could give them zero stars, I would. I don't usually leave reviews, but I couldn't let something like this happen to someone else. They have been absolutely terrible, and they don't care at all about their customers. We scheduled a delivery for a propane refill, and they kept bumping us back. Because they did this we ended up running out of propane to heat our house. My 5 and 8 year old have been without heat and warm water for 3 days! When we told them this, all they could say was, "Oh, sorry." We have called for the p... read more

AmeriGas was to fill my propane tank on 12/15/2020. They didn’t fill the tank. We ran out of propane on 1/9/2021. The temperature in the house was 40-45 degrees F. I was in ICU with Covid-19 fighting for my life. My wife was home alone. I called and my wife called AmeriGas several times daily to get the tank filled. They gave excuses that they would need to check the equipment in the house before filling. They could fill the tank on 1/20/2021. Which is not acceptable. I called corporate AmeriGas and asked for a supervisor, s... read more

These people are garbage. I moved into a house that, for whatever reason, has a propane stove. The tank was older and leaking when I moved in so I called Amerigas to replace it. They did, and came out fairly quickly. The rates were good so I decided to keep the service. I was given a tank and told them I wanted to pay up front and call when I needed more. It has run dry and I called. The rude customer rep told me it was going to take 10 to 14 business days to come out. When I explained the first time it took less than 3 days... read more
