excellent variations on traditional mex plates – The food in this place is top notch. I love Mexican food particularly taqueria food. This place takes it up a notch on both and does not gouge your for the hell of it. Now on to their bar. I have never understood why when a place bills itself as an expert on something why they double their prices. They don’t pour a shot of tequila better than anyone else but they sure charge like it. $4 Margs during Giants Games – This is a good spot to go before/during/after a Giants game. During the game margaritas are only $4! and they are pretty strong! A whole game time filled with $4 margaritas made for a good game! I didn't get to try out the food, but the place was packed with people grubbing, so I'm guessing it's pretty good! When the Giants game ended the bar got WAY too packed for my liking, so I left. :( But I will be back for more $4 margs in the very near future!
Excellent tequila, charming servers & great Mexican food! – If you want the real deal on all levels go to Tres Agaves. I recently went with a group of friends for margaritas and some various dishes. We really enjoyed the fish tacos and the guacamole was insanely good! We also had some of the slow cooked carnitas ? mmmmm?.so good. However you have to try the tequilas. Tequila and a whole lot of it!!! Tres Agaves is a great place to be after work or during baseball season. There are always a ton of people here drinking and having a good time. I cannot speak about the food, since I have yet to eat here. However, the selection of tequila is awesome. Make sure your liver is strong when you show up because it will be taking a beating with all the alcohol you are bound to consume. Highly recommend this place.
