I had an ankle injury and booked an appointment with Dr. Carlyle the next day. I had an xray in office and taken to exam room. Dr. Carlyle came in, declared xray was good, poked around my ankle, put me in air cast, told me to come back in a month if it was still hurting, and out the door he went. Another doc saw and told me to get it checked out elsewhere and I had two fractures and a significant bone bruise that would have turned into fracture had I continued to wear the air cast.
Dr. Carlyle did a total hip replacement on my 92 year old mother. The next day my mother was up and walking. She smiled and said "I have no pain". This was in November and she hasn't slowed down a bit. My mother says that she prayed for a miracle and got one!
Dr. Carlyle has treated my 7 year old daughter and myself for various injuries. He has always been friendly and caring so I'm not sure why all the reviews say his bedside manner is bad. He is efficient and direct and a great doctor. I'd recommend him and would go back in a heartbeat.
I went with my mother to Dr Carlyle who has been treating her for knee pain for a few weeks. I have never met anyone so rude, arrogant and uncaring as this man. I would not take my dog to this man for treatment. My mother now has another Doctor for her care. Please Dr Carlyle, take some classes in bedside manners, how to treat others with kindness and concern. You could learn from your staff. They were very kind.
I don't like his bedside manner. Unfriendly. I asked if the sling was the best option for a broken collarbone (the hospital had given me a sling). He said the sling is the best and if I don't agree then I am welcome to go somewhere else and get another opinion.
I went from being almost completely disabled prior to my hip surgery to being able to walk 3.5 miles again. After my anterior hip replacement Dr. Carlyle gave me my life back and I'll be forever grateful!
