When we moved here in July 2011, my husband was terminally ill. However beginning on our first night I felt so safe and happy. Charlie passed in 2012, and the outpouring of concern and love was incredible. Since then I made deep friendships with the staff and many neighbors. My wish is that I can spend the rest of my life here as long as I'm able to be independent.

I've lived at Treehouse since the doors opened 11 years ago and am grateful every day for this loving and inclusive inter-generational community. We provide a place of belonging and connection for foster children, the parents and grandparents who care for them and elders who are mentors and an unconditional source of acceptance and cookies.
I love my home! It's been many, many moons since I have felt like "I am" home!! Definitely a gift from God!!!
