Pleasantly surprised with my stay at travelodge, some reviews were mixed so I had doubts but the place was flawless, location was great not in the heart of the action so was nice to be less busy but only a 5 min walk to Clifton hill to get into the action. Room was very clean and seemed to be renovated recently, staff was great and pleasant and very polite. The location is great. A short walk from the busy main street where all the activities are and just across the rainbow bridge. Even though room was facing the street, it was quiet. The room, however, is dated. The bathtub drain was stuck and the water was not flowing. No kettle, no water dispenser & no bottled water provided. Basin tap was pull out type for water and water was so strong that it would splashed all over. Stayed only for 2 nights & it was bearable for a short stay.
The rooms and hotel have not been updated since the 90s from the look and the musk smell. You get what you pay for. Location is great and has paid parking
