Rented a van in Oakland and did a Sierra road trip for some hiking and fall foolish. Returned in LA. In both cases, staff was super helpful and friendly. The van itself did a great job. Not the most stylish or speedy option out there, but mechanically very sound and we only needed the solar panels to keep groceries cold for 4-5 days. We had the Ford Transit High 5. Epic way to cruise California. Had an excellent experience picking up, using and dropping off the van, would highly recommend for any adventurer on a bit of a budget. We took the Kuga out for two weeks to Yosemite and over to Monterey and it provided comfort and safety for our whole trip. Really comfy bed and awesome gas cooker and fridge. So nice to have solar power keeping everything running off a separate battery. NB not built for off roading so worth getting a 4x4 if you want to go to more remote spots. Generally everything was good. The staff was very friendly and easy going. Only one thing disappointed me: before rental I was asking if the propan for the cocker is included. They said it is for sure. At the first camp we realized that the bootle is empty. So we had 2 days without cocking on that. And one more tip for the future: please concern having some WhatsApp contact possibility not only with bot. That would be very helpful for foreign people which doesn’t have American phone number.
We had a great trip 12 days traveling around Northern California and seeing 6 national parks 5 state parks and a bunch of other great places. Everything worked great and it was much more convenient and comfortable than traditional car camping

Das Fahrzeug läuft heiß… Also Heizung an um den Motor zu kühlen. Weiter Yosimete Park etc. und danach ins Landes innere Wüste. Immer das gleiche Spiel.
