If you are planning trip to celebrate anything you should let Travel Brokers plan and set it up for you. Then if anything goes wrong, which is more likely than not, you will have them there to back you up. No worries " THEY WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU ". Well that is what they say but hardly what they do. Also you will have the insurance they say you should buy to help back you up. Our trip cost very close to $23,000 and the insurance part was $2,500. But when something went wrong we did not worry because we knew Cindy and Travel ... read more
You know you are hearing from a guy who falls for everything. My wife gets so mad at me for buying this or that off the internet. Very seldom does it work out to be a good deal. Kind of like this deal with Travel Brokers. All we wanted was to celebrate our 50th. wedding anniversary with a train trip across the country. Travel Brokers did not have to go find us we went to them. And again I fell for what they were selling, hook line and sinker. They said you really should buy this insurance and don't worry we will take care of... read more
We wanted our 50th. anniversary to be special. Planned this trip for a year before we ever went to Travel Brokers of Grand Blanc. A trip on Amtrak all the way to the west coast. 3 weeks total with 8 nights on the train in sleeper car the rest in hotels. The hotels were by far the nicest we ever stayed in and the train car left a little to be desired, still not bad. The problem was scheduling. Big screw up in Salt Lake City. Missed a connection to Yellowstone thru no fault of ours and missed a 2 night stay in a cabin in Yello... read more
Travel Brokers of Grand Blanc Mi. not so great of a company to deal with. We booked a 3 week trip with them in the summer of 2023. Total cost of very near $23,000. This included $2,500 of trip insurance, which they recommended, not a good idea. But not to worry Travel Brokers will stand behind you, way way back. Because of a scheduling snafu by them we lost out on a 2 night stay in a cabin in Yellowstone. Called them when the incident happened and was told by Cindy t Travel Brokers not to worry we got you covered. By that sh... read more
We trusted everybody, Travel Brokers and Amtrak, everybody. We recommend you don't do that. We don't know who is the most to blame but we gave the money to Travel Brokers but don't forget they are " SO SORRY ". $23,000 dollars including $2,500 for trip insurance. These numbers are round numbers but are very close to the actual cost. Somebody screwed up and because of a scheduling snafu we missed out on a 2 night stay in a cabin in Yellowstone. Nobody will admit the mistake but " WE ARE SO SORRY ". Even on the trip when the i... read more
If you sign up for " trip insurance " be sure and ask what it covers. This is where you need to be careful because it covers nothing. If they tell you it covers everything they are not telling you the truth. They may tell you don't worry you are covered just to get you on your way but I tell you it covers nothing and they know it. I tell you we look like fools because we fell for it. We lost the best part of our trip because we trusted them. Don't do what we did, by that I mean trust them. There are a lot of other little ... read more
You know this was a trip of a lifetime. We planned it as a gift to ourselves for our 50th. wedding anniversary. Well now we look like fools. We were so excited about spending 2 nights in a cabin in Yellowstone, we told everybody. Even Cindy at Travel Brokers was excited for us, or so she said. But now all she is is " SO SORRY ". In our younger days we used to travel a lot , by car. We are not world travelers, no planes, boats, or trains, just cars, this was special. Near as I can figure we went about 6700 miles and I didn't... read more
You will love Travel Brokers until you don't. They are great unless something goes wrong. Which is what happened to us. The trip of a life time came off the rails in Salt Lake City, but not to worry we had trip insurance and Travel Brokers word they would " TAKE CARE OF US ". Well they sure did. " WE ARE SO SORRY " That is it. Out of $23000 we paid $2500 for trip insurance and it don't cover anything. " WE ARE SO SORRY " You can take that and about a buck and a half and get a cup of coffee just about anywhere. I am not sure ... read more
You know it is not the money. We are in our mid seventies and this trip was a gift to ourselves. Trip of a life time. Including insurance, which was worth nothing because it covered nothing, $23000. This was a fiftieth wedding anniversary present to ourselves, which wasn't so great. First you buy the insurance and then when the incident happens Travel Brokers tells you don't worry " WE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU ". You might think everything will work out, and it does, for Travel Brokers. Not so much for us. More than likely we w... read more
