excellent service,delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Parking indicative of neighborhood establishments.
Disappointed Enjoyed my first visit, but not my second. I knew what I wanted and the first time I saw the server, I ordered my entree. I was still waiting 50 minutes later to receive it, while other diners around me that had ordered after me had already received their dinners. Bill was slightly off, too. I like how cozy and friendly the place can be, but I don't trust that I'm going to receive service worth paying for.
Don't try just ordering a mimosa – I went to Trattoria Stella this morning with my sister to have a mimosa. We were seated outside and told by our waiter that if we wanted to sit outside that we needed to order food as well as a mimosa. He was quite unfriendly. We finished our drinks quickly and asked for the bill. As we paid our bill he told us that there was a legal issue with only ordering drinks... we were not aware that it is illegal to only order drinks at a bar. We will not go back to this place.
Sucked like Hoover – I've been there a couple of times for dinner and tonight was really not that good - I'll likely not go back: Waiter forgot they had a bar, forgot that we needed glasses to go with drinks, forgot we were there at one point it seemed. Food sucked - cold, lasagana was pretty skanky, my friend got a pasta/asparagus dish that barely had any asparagus on it. Salads looked like they were made for the munchkins - literally 2 bites of salad.
Too close for comfort This was a fun place to stop and eat while shoppin on a Saturday in the Highlands. The food was really good but I have to say the tables were really close. They have a split level patio and honestly I had a woman's foot practically in my lap the whole time. Dining out is not the same when you hear everyones conversations, or they are listening to yours. Excellent Italian Food Met some associates here on a recent business trip and was very impressed with the menu and food. FABULOUS and filling.
Disapointing Service – I used to like this restaurant, but after several run-ins with rude customer service, I will most-likely not be returning.
Best Italian for your buck! Hands down one of the best restaurants in Denver! Authentic Italian food without the overpricing and tacky decor! Nestled into a cute house in the Highlands, Stella's has tasty food at reasonable prices. The back deck is a great place to grab a glass of vino while waiting for your table. They always have new desserts made fresh each day, definitely worth saving room for after dinner. Call ahead to check the wait, as there is limited seating and tables fill up quickly!
God I love this place – No joke my favorite Italian food in Denver. Try the creamy sausage beet pipe regate - - It hurts it tastes soo good.
