I am on my 4th defective transmission from this company in less than 2 years. The first one was bad even before the mechanic gave me the vehicle back. The second lasted just over a year and the third was changed less than 3 weeks ago and is already bad. Now I am stuck with no vehicle for almost 3 months. No one at Transtar wants to take responsibility and I just keep getting the run around. I continue to have to pay the difference in what Transtar "warranties" for labor vs what a shop charges. I had a problem with my 68 rfe transmission in my ram 3500. I made a few different calls and was referred to Tran star. The customer service was amazing super helpful in making sure I was taking the right part home with me. The price they had was 5 to 6 hundred dollars cheaper than the dealership. Plus the vavle body I got from them comes with a lifetime warranty. I believe that speaks volumes to the confidence in the part they sell. Transtar is 10+ in my book. I deal with Scott and Paul on almost a daily occasion. Scott will go above and beyond to see i get the parts that I need. Working for a used car lot I build transmissions weekly and time is important, they know this so if something is on the other side of the country they will still get what I need next day.
These guys have drivetrain and complete remaned units ready to go one of the most competitive transmission parts warehouses in our region check them out. P.s. tell Scott he is doing a bang up job for me!
