RecommendedJust bought my first pair of walking / running shoes. Michael was great to work with & after taking a little bit of time to watch me walk I was presented with around five options. No pressure to buy but answered all my questions.
The employees at the 280/Inverness location are so helpful. They didn’t stop until they found the right shoes for my husband. Now that we are all on lockdown, they personally delivered them to our porch! Great service!
I can not recommend Trak Shak enough! Not only is it a locally owned business that completely supports the running community (sponsoring races, organizing weekly runs and demos, etc.), but the whole staff is deeply knowledgeable about their gear. Me and a coworker have recently started walking/jogging and want to eventually work our way up to running. We drove 45 minutes to the Hoover location barely making it before closing, but Michael was so helpful despite the fact! Told us he didn't mind. He talked with me through what I needed and what I was looking for until we found the perfect shoes. Loved the store!!
Don't let the name fool you, no athletic abilities required to shop here. Stopped in today to just look around, let the guy know my intentions, but he was just as helpful as if I were going to spend $500. Partly because of that and partly because the shoe felt sooo good, I walked out with a pair! (paid, then walked out). Adam provided top notch service with genuine attentiveness and expert knowledge. I recommend this shop to anyone!

Professionals! They will watch you walk, look at your arches, and recommend a category of shoes to meet your mechanics and feet. They have an impressive selection of runner specific shoes. The Trak Shak is the ONLY place I buy my running shoes.
The best customer service around. If you are having trouble with hurting feet when running just go by and they can stop the pain ! They what they are doing!
