It's a typical Trader Joe's, but you'll find no spicy peppers (only habaneros), or even most flavoring spices in general. Last week, I came by looking to make a spice rub for some chicken - only to find that the spice selection was almost non-existent (bay leaves, oregano, and a few others). I asked an employee if they had spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice somewhere else in the store or in the back (or worst case scenario if they were out of stock). I'm not sure why the people who decided to put a grocery store 1/2 the size of the original Safeway that was here thought that it could service this neighborhood. I Just turned around and walked out of Trader Joe's. Those long lines are a *huge* turn-off. I'd rather starve for 3 days before standing in those awful lines! Walked 4 blocks in the other direction to Mayflower on Bush. Family-owned, very nice people, and they aren't snobs. Problem solved!
