It all started in the 50s... Would you believe we started out as a small chain of convenience stores? It's true. Way back in 1958. We were called Pronto Markets. In '67, our founder, the original Trader Joe, changed our name (yes, to Trader Joe's) and the way we do business. We made the stores bigger (if you can imagine), decked the walls with cedar planks and donned our crew in cool Hawaiian shirts. Great prices & different selection of foods. Will be returning. Not happy about paying for parking. I know the 1hr is free.

The first day I walked into a trader joes I fell in love with the store...I moved to 19 St and 9th ave in chelsea ny in 2007 and had to walk to 14 and union square..than they open open a store on 21st and 6th Ave and I was so happy I'm still there now and love everything out it...and the wonderful food donations we get...good food!
At Traders Joe's everything extraordinary is in this place. I kept coming back in here. This shoppe is very addictive.
Premium foods at not so premium prices! Great place to food shop. Quality foods!
