It all started in the 50s... Would you believe we started out as a small chain of convenience stores? It's true. Way back in 1958. We were called Pronto Markets. In '67, our founder, the original Trader Joe, changed our name (yes, to Trader Joe's) and the way we do business. We made the stores bigger (if you can imagine), decked the walls with cedar planks and donned our crew in cool Hawaiian shirts. My favorite place to shop when I am downtown. I can do without the long lines, but at this point is part of the charm of TJ's in Manhattan.
I love to shop at your stores and your Wine store on 14 street near union square is the bomb
I love Trader Joe's and wish one could be opened in Coney Island, Brooklyn N.Y. in the Trump Village Shopping Center that is being reconstructed as we speak.
I think this is the best Trader Joe's in NYC and here's why: Best layout (one floor. Square shape. Wide aisles), nicest team, great location. Even when lines are longest they move quickly and there is always a sales person around to ask questions. A+
