It all started in the 50s... Would you believe we started out as a small chain of convenience stores? It's true. Way back in 1958. We were called Pronto Markets. In '67, our founder, the original Trader Joe, changed our name (yes, to Trader Joe's) and the way we do business. We made the stores bigger (if you can imagine), decked the walls with cedar planks and donned our crew in cool Hawaiian shirts. I️ love that you carry vegan/kosher marshmallows. My family only eats kosher marshmallows which are hard to find. You carry them and they are delicious. �
Trader Joe's has some great prepared vegan and vegetarian dishes that I love. But shopping there is a nightmare. People park their carts on the checkout line and then do their shopping. They hold everyone up. One guy just got physically threatening with me because I commented about it. I'm 5'4, 100 pounds, this guy was over 6 feet. Do I really need to fear for my physical safety when buying a container of coconut water?? This kind of thing doesn't happen in other grocery stores.
