So disappointed with the Royal Oak, MI Trader Joe’s. It is currently about 32 degrees and windy.... with a line of about 30 people... an elderly man... probably about 85-90 years old with a cane walking very slowly, came up and got in the back of the long line. I thought for sure one of the workers would have immediately went and got him to let him in without waiting in the long line. They didn’t. Long story short, I steamed a bag of kale and it included a maggot. Luckily I spit it out in time. I called and they said they would send me a gift card for the $3 or whatever that we paid. It’s been over six months and I’m still waiting. I didn’t get sick but what a bummer from a customer service perspective.

This is my Trader Joe’s ! The employees are the absolute best ! They really go above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience.
Always clean, well stocked. Great with keeping employees and customer's safe. Employees are always very nice and kind. Overall I like shopping there for all the yummy exclusive trader joe treats like cookie butter and cashew kale pesto 😍

I have always loved shopping here, but now that you are almost the only store that is cheerfully enforcing the new rules, you are now my FAVORITE!! It is so nice to be somewhere I feel safe, can get what I need, and move on. Also I was able to pick up a different variety of frozen foods than we are used to because we are so sick of our own cooking!! Thanks Joe!
Staff yesterday was so helpful with our senior group, getting them umbrellas to use while they waited in the rain, and then a wheelchair to use and then sit on to wait for our bus. Awesome staff!!!! :)
I came by today and already love how organized and clean everything is. But today, a man named Keith was incredibly kind and brought out flowers to a woman who just lost her husband and it is her birthday. Inside the store, he got everyone to sing happy birthday to her. Thank you Keith for the reminder we are all in this together. I’ve never left a shopping trip in tears but this was really beautiful. I love your store even more now!
