My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Townsend for 4-5 years now, in the beginning he was so compassionate and proactive in trying to find out what condition she had, however for the past three years, she has seen him 2 times, for the last 3 visits she has seen Nurse Practitioners and all they do is ask a few questions, they have NEVER examined her, never put their hands on her, without an exam, how do you know what the progression of the disease is? Dr. Townsend is a brilliant, effective doctor.
I have to have my knee drained due to occasional flare ups. I know what it feels like when a doctor knows what they are doing and not doing. Usually they cause me a lot of pain during the process and I ALWAYS look at them crazy! However Dr. Townsend and his nurse Nicole do a perfect job every time they have had to drain my knee! I no longer stress myself out when I have to get my knee drained! Phenomenal doctor and nurse who pay attention to you and partners with you in managing your condition.
