Recommended😃One of the best places to eat in San Francisco, especially for breakfast or brunch. The muffin basket is "to die for." Tremendous staff. Low turnover means terrific management. Ask Dave anything about the Giants. Best owners in the city!

Everyone visiting San Francisco should eat at Townsend Cafe! Our from scratch breakfast was super! Never met friendlier folks our entire stay on the bay! Keep up the good work!
Wonderful neighborhood eatery with a lovely outdoor seating area. We've been coming here since our teenager was a toddler and have always been impressed with the wonderful service, delicious healthy choices and beautiful and fun artwork. A local favorite, for sure!💓
My fish dish was way too salty and not fresh. My friend’s order was okay. However we both had the runs when we got home. Our.service was above board!
The food is delicious. Breakfast eggs Benedict... real homemade hollandaise sauce! View of the bay. Beverage options. 20+ years at this location. Solid business worth supporting. Attentive waiter!
Nice venue, atmosphere and servers. I didn’t get my cappuccino until my breakfast arrived. My husband’s pancakes were dry and tasteless. My brussel sprout hash had three half’s of brussel sprouts and the remainder was potatoes. I was disappointed.
