With sincerity, pride, and dedication, we are holding true to this time-honored tradition. In 1949, Wendell Townley, along with his wife, Jane, bought the home from the Leffingwall Family. Together, they raised their five children there and established a long standing commitment to the community. In 1971, Harold Townley and his brother, Frank Townley, came home from Korea and attainted their funeral directing licenses. Our family had used multiple funeral homes in the Capital District and we were kind of dreading going back to them. Fortunately someone mentioned Townley & Wheeler and I went with them after reading the reviews. The reviews were spot on. If I could give Townley and Wheeler more stars I would. The professionalism and facilities could not have been better. They know when to inform and when to listen. They made the process incredibly convenient while executing our vision impeccably.
They did a wonderful service for my grandmother and dad. Am thankful for choosing them to do service and would recommend them to anyone
I will never, nor my family, be able to thank Kathleen, Molly and the entire staff at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home enough for all they did for us when my Mom recently passed away. They showed compassion, respect, kindness and dignity to all of us, and for my Mom, Patricia A. Mayo Rybaltowski. Our graveside service, was beautifully prepared, and Victoria Milne had all the right words for all of us. RIP Mom, we'll love you and cherish you forever.
