Towne South Animal Hospital has served the Shreveport-Bossier area since 1974. Kathryn McFadden, D.V.M. purchased the practice in 1991. In 2014 & 2015 Towne South was named one of the LSU Top 100 Tiger Owned Businesses. We are also proud to be the first AAHA accredited clinic in Shreveport. We have held our AAHA accreditation since 2007.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr.Mackey and the towns south team. She went above and beyond this week trying to help our sweet Charlie.
We had our visit today with an injured dog. They were fantastic. I was able to get an appointment quickly. As soon as I walked in the door the care started. The entire staff here is amazing as well as Dr Mackey. I am so glad we made the switch, it’s a good feeling to leave an appointment with complete understanding of the problem and confidence in people providing treatment.
RecommendedI cannot express how thankful we are for the staff here! We recently switched over and my pups love it. They go above and beyond for your babies and the personal card signed by the staff sent to us after the loss of our family pet really meant so much to us.
The staff is all so friendly and will spoil your pup while there. Dr. Mackey is seriously the best, called daily with multiple updates and even a video! And she didn’t even get mad that Maxine made her sort of miss out on a bit of her son’s taekwondo class Monday! 😳(sorry!! ☺️)

I take all my animals here and love it. Such nice and knowledgeable staff & vets!
The staff is so friendly and helpful. Dr Hunter was amazing when she had to operate on Roux. Dr Hunter sent me updates after surgery and continued to check on her after she was home.
The service there word's can't express the staff is always so friendly and nice . With there older customer that have to bring there animals in they walk out and assist the elder overall a great place that's just the staff. Now Dr. Mackey she's Simply the Best.
