For a downtown motel at less than $100 per night, it's pretty good! The room was tidy and the customer service was lovely. The headboard, tv stand and nightstand were a modern, matching set so it's clear they're slowly upgrading all of the rooms. If traveling on a budget, I'd recommend this place!
I've been staying here for a couple weeks now while working on a contract in Birmingham. The staff here is super friendly and my room is cleaned regularly.
Well, we didn't die. So it does get one star. But the room felt gross and there was a really nasty old couch in it. You could actually see a spray tan butt-print on it. There was a "guest log" in the drawer of the desk where previous customers had written their names and who they did there and how. The carpet was rough, old, and dingy. The sheets had burns in them. The towels were rough and tiny. The cab driver told us that it was the most dangerous spot in Birmingham.
The owner and son are great people.The rooms are clean and beautiful and for the part of town its in I felt very safe.
A great bargain for such a convenient downtown location. Very clean and well equipped rooms.
