I owned one of the very first Sonatas from the 1980's, my wife and children loved it and it was a lot of fun to drive.(We had 4 teenagers who trained on it and obtained their driver's licence). Unfortunately it fell apart after about 8 years and 150,000 miles later (it was built in Korea). Since then the company has redisigned the car and started building quality vehicles in the USA. I hate to admit it but as Americans, we cannot afford to buy American cars. Plus they constantly fall apart. I love Hyundais and the service at Torrington Hyundai. I can afford their cars and truly enjoy driving it. I am not buying overpriced American cars.
