My favorite local spot for a cold drink. The beer menu is extensive and all made in house. The head brewmaster is creative as they come and there is always something new to try! Plus, a handful of classics that will always please. Great drinks, chill friendly atmosphere. It's our family's go to game watch, birthday celebration, meet up with friends or just want to enjoy a beautiful evening PLACE!
Torrent is a fantastic local brewery, with a great selection of their own brews and beverages in addition to a nice verity local Iowa brews. It is a super fun place in downtown to have group gathering. They have some really good snacks, especially the giant Bavarian pretzels and flatbed pizzas. Moat of all their staff is fantastic, they are all really nice and are very attentive.
Almost missed this one! The location is unexpected, but it is a fantastic brewery in a good area for downtown Ames. With the departure of Olde Main, this more-than-fills the role! Great beer, brewery and staff!
