Great for families This is great family atmosphere. Every Monday thru Thurs kids eat free with one adult meal purchased. We enjoyed the food and always filled up our tortilla basket! Would definately eat there again!
highly recommended – The food is great and the portions are huge! Come hungry and you will still have leftovers
Pretty good! – After living in Mexico for three years, I have come to terms with the fact that there is no such thing as "authentic Mexican food" in the Triangle. That aside, Torero's is great. The salsa is amazingly good (a little too good!!! I overeat every time!). The portions are huge. Service is usually pretty good, but they occasionally need an extra hand on the floor. Unimpressed – We went in the middle of the afternoon on Father's day and the service was not good at all. They were clearly understaffed (waiters running around) and we were pretty much ignored throughout our meal. Two large tables near us ordered well after we did, but got their food quite a bit before us. The food was below average for mexican food with the fresh chip salsa being the highlight of the meal. We have been going to the Torero's on Atlantic and absolutely love their food!!! We live in NW Raleigh and it is a bit out of our way...but it is the only place we go for Mexican!! Our favorites are the Fajita Burrito and Chili Rellenos. The salsa is wonderful...the service is great (ask for Mario!) and the price is just right!
Best Mexican! – Torero's is the best Mexican food we have found in the US. We now live in TX (you'd think we'd have better Mexican food here!) and still miss our frequent trips to Durham's Torero's.
Mexican's love it! – The downtown Durham location is the best. When the Mexican co-workers from the Chapel-Hill/Durham area says this is the best taste and the bigger portions, they are right. This restaurant holds plenty of nice little touches that make you feel like you are in Mexico. Reasonable pricing keeps you coming back.
hot salsa – The steak tacos are great so are the drinks!!! We just moved here from Chicago. Love their homemade chips & salsa. Lisa Apex,NC
