We stopped by the Top of the Hub on a Monday evening around 5:00 to show our young boys the view and grab some drinks & apps to share. The restaurant was mostly empty, but after waiting 20 minutes to get served, we decided to leave to get food elsewhere. We attempted to visit the observation deck on floor 50, but it was closed. Suprised my husband for an early Valentine's day dinner. I booked the time for when we could catch the sunset and see the city and night. We got there and they seated us right away even though we were a few minutes early. We got a view of the Charles River during the sunset and we were able to walk a little bit to see other views if we wanted to. Elegant, not too noisy, just like we like it. Better than Ostra, in terms of ambiance: beautiful music, somewhat private. We were rushing to get to the BSO and the person serving us was very polite and understanding.
I've come here twice, to celebrate my own birthday last year, and just recently to celebrate my fiance's birthday. The food is good, the wine was delicious, and the service was awesome. Will definitely be coming back.
We celebrated our 22nd anniversary on 1/17 we had 715 reservations and we were seated on time, our server Martin Who told me after I asked has been working there for eight years ! I had very negative experience with Top of the Hub Lounge today - not sure if they have rules against children or just NOT "Family Friendly". It is my son's 1-yr birthday today, and we plan to celebrate it with grandparents at the Lounge in the afternoon, knowing the lunch and dinner times would be super busy. When I called around 1pm, I was told that the wait would be about 20 mins and 2-4pm would be slow.
