Great Detroit bar. Native Detroiter living in Florida in town for my 40th high school reunion from U. of D. Jesuit down the street. Last visit at the bar was with my class 10 years ago. After growing up minutes from the bar, still wondering why the 2007 flight back home was my FIRST trip ever to Tom's Tavern!!

The undisputed greatest venue in the history of the world...
Not just the best dive bar in Detroit- The best dive in the WORLD!!! Crooked floors, and crooked bar, rocks glasses full to the top of good libations, Jukebox full of old great music, great owners and staff, and possibly the most appealing piece of construction on 7 mile. If you don't like it- take your ass down Woodward and find an expensive drink somewhere else.
What a pleasure meeting Ron last evening. He's adorable and so is the young lady that was working with him. I absolutely loved that he answered the door with our knock, greeted with a friendly smile and rich history in 1920's music playing in the background. Like a step in time.
Fantastic hospitality. A true hidden gem....thank you Don for having good us.
