From the outside, you think of this place a just a neighborhood bar. First thought is, "what riff raft am I going to run into in here?" However, the Red Door is irresistible. Once you enter, it's like stepping into a very clean bar, and with the friendliness of the staff, you'll want to come here at least 2-4 times a week with friends. I just wish it was closer to home.
Never disappointed with Tompkins food. Great variety for a bar. But their specialty, The BURGERS?! Always perfectly seasoned and cooked to order or they'll rectify it immediately. Great place for a quick drink, eats or just to watch the game. If you're not a friendly social person and need your personal space, this friendly patron environment may not be for you. But I think if you tried it, you too will make it a regular spot.
We found Tompkins by accident while staying at a local hotel....food was great, service was great, atmosphere was great! Definitely recommend it!
The place was great, nice waitress. Good burgers. Good drinks as well.
